Dedicated meat mincers are worth the investment if your catering business uses a lot of mince in cooking, for example if you make your own burgers, sausages or pates. They are useful if you purchase animals in bulk and as largely unprocessed carcasses, and perform a significant proportion of butchery onsite. Any cuts left over after prime cuts have been selected can be minced and added to your menu. Purchasing meat in this way reduces the cost price of your ingredients, and if you have the right processing equipment the labour involved could be minimal.
