Why should I buy the LRB2?

Dry heat bain marie are an interesting development of the original wet heat, or water bath, bain marie. As the name “dry heat” implies, hot water isn’t used to maintain food temperature, but rather the element simply heats the air itself surrounding the food container. This brings a number of advantages: heat up tends to be quicker, so less electricity is used for cheaper bills, and also dry heat is less labour intensive. There’s no need to keep a water bath topped up during service, and no need to drain and change the water either. Having said that, if the bain marie is used primarily for particularly delicate sauces like hollandaise or béarnaise, or even custards, then a wet heat unit will generally perform better, because of the warm, moist environment it creates.

The LRB2 is a stylish and compact dry heat bain marie that will maintain pre cooked foods at a nice and hot serving temperature for up to 2 hours; and it will do this without any drying out or loss of the food’s texture or flavour. This is a double round pot bain marie; each pot has a capacity of 4.5 litres and the stainless steel pots and lids are supplied with the appliance. The highly attractive stainless steel finish of the bain marie makes it perfect for front of house use, and it’s great for hot buffet lines, self service counters and outside hospitality events. This unit is popular with smaller catering businesses such as cafes, takeaways, pizzerias and fast food outlets, as well as being used as stand by capacity during busier periods in larger establishments. It is ideal for safely holding pasta, cheese or apple sauces, curries, gravies, soups, porridge and a whole host of other foodstuffs including hot condiments.
