Alfred Karcher made his breakthrough into cleaning technology in 1950 with the development of the first European hot-water washer. Innovation led the way and continues to be the most important growth factor for Karcher.

In 1980, Karcher expanded it's product line of pressure washers to include general cleaning products. And in 1986, Karcher became a pioneer in roller brush technology in the professional segment for scrubber driers. The brand now offers a range of pressure washers, spray extraction cleaners for commercial and private use, wet and dry vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners and scrubbers.
