Why should I buy the OG8801/N?

Bratt pans are heavy duty commercial cooking appliances for large scale food production, most often used in hospitals, schools, factory and staff canteens and other institutions. They are capable of performing many different cooking operations including braising, boiling, poaching, steaming, roasting and stewing. They are extremely versatile and can be used to cook many different types of foods; additionally, they can replace a variety of kitchen pots and pans and also other cooking equipment, saving valuable space in the working kitchen. Commercially, they are an excellent investment.

This Bratt Pan, the OG8801/N from Lincat’s new Opus 800 series, is a natural gas unit with a powerful heat input of 24.5kW from 6 stainless steel tube burners. It has a large capacity of 80 litres and the pan dimensions are 820mm x 500mm; the depth of the pan is 200mm. The pan base is 8mm thick for improved heat retention and even heat distribution. The temperature range is thermostatically controlled from 70°C to 300°C - this wide range can comfortably accommodate different cooking processes for maximum flexibility. A simmer mode reduces heat by 50% for more delicate dishes. Menu options for customers and/or staff don’t need to be limited - they can be as varied as your imagination.

There are direct connections for water supply and waste; the gas connection is ½” and gas hose is available as an accessory. The overall dimensions of the bratt pan are 900mm(h) x 900mm(w) x 800mm(d) and it is fitted with lockable castors as standard; height adjustable legs are available as an option if you would prefer them. The 800mm depth is the same throughout the Opus 800 series of equipment. The unit is constructed from a fully framed 2mm thick steel chassis and stainless steel panels in thicknesses up to 2mm. There are permanent laser etched markings on control knobs and fascia.

The hinged and spring balanced lid - which is designed to contain condensation - is heavy duty and manufactured from stainless steel; it cleverly doubles as a bench-top workspace. The tilting mechanism makes dispensing food - and cleaning afterwards - so much easier; it is manually operated. The gas burners and water fill system are automatically disconnected when the tilt mechanism is activated.

The pilot ignition is automatic for convenience, with an over temperature safety cut out and reset button, and a flame failure protection system. The water fill tap with latching push button can be used when the lid is open or closed. There is a large pouring spout and lip to avoid the risk of spillages. Bratt pans are intended to save time, in cooking and cleaning: the appliance is easy to clean with a high sheen stainless steel finish; the tank is unobstructed and easy to access.

This robust, large capacity tilting bratt pan has a considerable net weight of 190 kilos and a gross weight for delivery of 204 kilos; it is also available in a propane gas and an electric version. Opus 800 equipment includes fryers, induction hobs, griddles, chargrills, boiling tops and much more. All Lincat products carry a full 2 year on site UK parts and labour warranty.

Advantages of leasing

  • Significant tax benefits – For private organisations payments are fully tax deductible unlike using cash.
  • Low, fixed payments allow easy budgeting throughout the term
  • Spread the cost of your purchases in line with the return on the investment
  • Make your capital work for you – Rather than sink valuable cash into depreciating assets, deploy it elsewhere for higher returns
  • Totally flexible, a lease allows you to determine the term, how frequently you pay and can be upgraded or changed throughout.
  • Manage obsolescence and refresh assets strategically rather than face unbudgeted large write offs.
  • Make investment decisions based upon your needs and not limited by constrained budgets
  • Reduce dependency on your primary funder(s) – Your existing credit lines remain unaffected and you will have access to over 20 specialist asset funders
  • Spread the cost of the VAT which is paid in instalments rather than as a lump sum up-front.
  • Turnkey funding – Build all your costs such as delivery, extended warranties etc into the lease to maximise your benefits even further
