Offering the capacity to cook a wide variety of dishes from fried meats to eggs, pancakes, mushrooms and many others, the Opus 800 Bratt Pan - Propane gas can operate comfortably anywhere between 20°C and 360°C. The machine comes equipped with a simmer mode to half its cooking power for more delicate foods, meanwhile a large pouring spout allows for easy draining of any liquid foods you have cooked before serving. Thanks to modern technology the pan holds heat for longer and heats up very quickly, resulting in energy efficient performance that reduces both cooking time and running costs.

Please Note: As of Feb 2020, the gas hose connection changed to 3/4".

Commercially, they are an excellent investment.

This bratt pan, the OG8801/P from Lincat’s new Opus 800 series, is a propane gas unit with a powerful heat input of 23kW - or 78,479BTU/hr - from 6 stainless steel tube burners. It has a large capacity of 80 litres. This is a heavy duty commercial cooking appliance for large scale food production environments, most often found in hospitals, schools, factory and staff canteens and similar institutions and businesses. Lincat’s growing reputation is based on high quality equipment that is robust, reliable and durable, designed for the demanding environments in the busiest of commercial kitchens. All Lincat products carry a full 2 year on site UK parts and labour warranty.

Bratt pans are highly versatile and will perform many different cooking operations including braising, roasting, boiling, poaching, steaming or stewing. Menu options for customers and/or staff don’t need to be limited - they can be as varied as chef’s imagination. This single appliance can replace a variety of kitchen pots and pans as well as sole-function cooking equipment, creating space in working kitchens. Commercially, they are a sound investment.

There are direct connections for water supply and waste; the gas connection is ½” and gas hose is available as an accessory. The overall dimensions of the bratt pan are 900mm(h) x 900mm(w) x 800mm(d) and it has a net weight of 190 kilos. It is fitted with lockable castors as standard, with height adjustable legs available as an option. The 800mm depth is the same throughout the Opus 800 series of equipment. The unit is constructed from a fully framed 2mm thick steel chassis and stainless steel panels in thicknesses up to 2mm. There are permanent laser etched markings on control knobs and fascia.

The pan itself has dimensions of 820mm x 500mm; the depth of the pan is 200mm. The pan base is 8mm thick for improved heat retention and even heat distribution. The temperature range is thermostatically controlled from 70°C to 300°C - this wide range can comfortably accommodate different cooking processes for maximum flexibility. A simmer mode reduces heat by 50% for more delicate dishes.

The hinged and spring balanced lid - which is designed to contain condensation - is heavy duty and manufactured from stainless steel; it cleverly doubles as a bench-top workspace. The tilting mechanism makes dispensing food - and cleaning afterwards - so much easier; it is manually operated. The gas burners and water fill system are automatically disconnected when the tilt mechanism is activated.

The pilot ignition is automatic for convenience, with an over temperature safety cut out and reset button, and a flame failure protection system. The water fill tap with latching push button can be used when the lid is open or closed. There is a large pouring spout and lip to avoid the risk of spillages. Together with their versatility, Bratt pans are labour saving, in cooking times and cleaning tasks: the appliance is easy to clean with a high sheen stainless steel finish; the tank is unobstructed and easy to access.

This rugged, large capacity tilting bratt pan is also available in a natural gas and an electric version.

Advantages of leasing

  • Significant tax benefits – For private organisations payments are fully tax deductible unlike using cash.
  • Low, fixed payments allow easy budgeting throughout the term
  • Spread the cost of your purchases in line with the return on the investment
  • Make your capital work for you – Rather than sink valuable cash into depreciating assets, deploy it elsewhere for higher returns
  • Totally flexible, a lease allows you to determine the term, how frequently you pay and can be upgraded or changed throughout.
  • Manage obsolescence and refresh assets strategically rather than face unbudgeted large write offs.
  • Make investment decisions based upon your needs and not limited by constrained budgets
  • Reduce dependency on your primary funder(s) – Your existing credit lines remain unaffected and you will have access to over 20 specialist asset funders
  • Spread the cost of the VAT which is paid in instalments rather than as a lump sum up-front.
  • Turnkey funding – Build all your costs such as delivery, extended warranties etc into the lease to maximise your benefits even further
