Why should I buy the EP1/3M?

The EP1/3M from Foster is a 3 door refrigerated prep counter specifically for meat with a total internal volume of 435 litres. The operating temperature range is -2°C to +2°C and the unit will function efficiently even at high ambient temperatures which can often occur in working kitchens.

Modern catering businesses need easy and convenient access to refrigerated storage capacity; this unit is fitted with robust 80 mm castors as standard so it can be readily positioned where it’s needed most. The stainless steel countertop of the appliance acts as a food prepping work surface, the benefit being the storage space and preparation area are contained within one unit. Making the most of valuable space in the commercial kitchen is critical for many caterers, as is creating an environment where kitchen staff aren’t chasing around from one part of the kitchen to another. As well as being energy efficient, this meat fridge and food prep counter is labour efficient too.

This technologically advanced and robustly built appliance provides a high quality solution for the fast preparation of foods and ingredients. This unit is GN compatible so it’s easy to transfer ingredients and prepared meals or dishes from one appliance to another, for example to bains marie or an oven.

The dimensions of the appliance are 865 mm (h) x 1865 mm (w) x 700 mm (d) - the depth is 1113 mm when the doors are fully open. The net weight is 145 kilos with a gross packed weight for delivery of 165.9 kilos. Height adjustable legs are available as an option in 100 mm or 150 mm sizes. The unit requires a standard plug socket to run, and a 13 amp plug is fitted at the factory. It’s important that adequate airflow is maintained around the freezer counter, with airspace of 150 mm; this allows the unit to function at its most efficient. So when you are measuring up, please take this into account. The unit is robustly constructed from high grade 304 stainless steel with an aluminium interior; stainless steel interiors are available as options. 6 shelves are supplied as standard with GN 1/1 shelves and extra stainless steel shelves available.

The concealed refrigeration system is located to the left, optimising capacity and providing an attractive yet functional exterior to the unit. The unit operates quietly with a decibel rating of 68.3 Dba at 1 metre. Much like a smartphone the control panel is touch sensitive and hidden until lit.

This appliance is part of Foster’s Eco Pro G2 range which offers considerable advances in technology to harness the needs of today’s professional commercial caterers, both in terms of commitment to food safety standards and in providing excellent quality appliances at competitive prices. Lower energy use and also lower carbon emissions mean cash savings and a greener environment.

The Airlines ventilation system cuts compressor running times by 15%, while an energy saving hydrocarbon refrigerant (R290) is available as standard at no extra cost. The high performance cyclopentane foam ensures optimum levels of insulation of 60 mm throughout the freezer.
