Hotel Catering Equipment

Hotels across the UK order equipment and appliances from the full range of Catering Appliance Superstore's products; typically hotels operate from first thing in the morning to last thing at night, or even 24 hours, and particularly if they are also open to the public for meals during the day, the provision of hot and cold food and beverages can be more or less non stop at peak season. Breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, evening meals and bar snacks, provision of tea and coffee making facilities in bedrooms, laundry services and packed lunches are all provided by full service hotels.

The kitchen in a hotel of any size is likely to be based around one or more large capacity commercial ovens with built in hobs, supplemented with other versatile cooking appliances such as fryers, grills, griddles and commercial microwaves. Very large hotels may require additional ovens or other capacity boosting appliances such as counter top hotplates and bain maries, and some are even large enough to incorporate their own bakeries with all the associated equipment required.

Hotels operating throughout the day tend to perform a great deal of their food preparation on site, making full use of any quiet periods in mid morning or afternoon, and therefore require a good range of effective preparation equipment and a high volume of effective cold storage provided by cold rooms, upright fridges and freezers, and chest freezers. To improve efficiency during service, some undercounter refrigeration is a good idea so that prepared ingredients can be positioned close to hand.

Beverage service during breakfast and then on throughout the day will require a really high capacity and long life water boilers and coffee machines. Many hotels also have a licensed bar for hotel guests or open to the public, requiring bar bottle coolers, bottle bins, ice machines, and beverage equipment for fresh fruit juices, smoothies or cocktails.

Rugged laundry equipment such as commercial washers and dryers will be needed daily, and ironing presses can help handle large volumes of bed linen and tablecloths. In-room facilities for beverage making like tea and coffee sets, crockery and kettles are generally expected by hotel guests.

We offer a huge range of other equipment suitable for hotels, but hopefully these suggestions are a good starting point. Finally, don't forget to have a look through our disposables and cleaning sections, and our work clothing range, to find everything you need to keep your hotel business looking smart and clean and your staff looking professional.
